Toronto Holds It's Playoff Spot In Fifth Straight Win Against Moose

(WINNIPEG, MB) - They put themselves in the driver's seat with a win last night, and kept control of their own destiny with another one on Saturday.

Justin Pogge made 36 saves while Darryl Boyce scored the game winning goal as the Marlies earned a 3-2 win over the Manitoba Moose in Winnipeg on Saturday night. While the Crunch also won, it still gives Toronto a one point lead for the final playoff spot in the North Division with three games left in the regular season.

Jiri Tlusty and Joe Ryan also scored for Toronto while Jason Krog and Mark Cullen had the Moose goals.

After Krog opened the scoring in the first, the Marlies scored three unanswered goals, to spot a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.

Curtis Sanford made 25 saves for the Moose, who were 0 for 6 on the power play, while Toronto was 0 for 2.

The Marlies next host Rochester on Wednesday night.
