Marlies Acquire Jay Rosehill from Norfolk

Marlies Add Size and Toughness with 6’3, 215-Pound Versatile Player


Jeff Jackson, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has acquired Jay Rosehill from the Norfolk Admirals in exchange for future considerations. In addition, the Marlies loaned forward Tyler Doig to their ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals.
Rosehill, 23, has appeared in 57 games this season with the Admirals collecting 12 points (five goals, seven assists) and a plus-five rating. The Olds, Alberta native ranks third in the AHL with 221 penalty minutes. Rosehill is a versatile player, starting games this season as both a forward and defenceman for Norfolk.


Rosehill was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh-round, 227th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.


Doig, 23, played in five games with the Marlies, collecting zero points and 16 penalty minutes. The Seaforth, Ontario native has 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) in 50 games this season with the Reading Royals.
