This week the Marlies lost a huge game in Syracuse against the Crunch 3-1 on Wednesday.
The Crunch are now just 3 points back of the Marlies for 4th place, which makes the 3 games this weekend all huge games. Let's start with Friday night the Marlies are in Rochester to play the Americans.
ROCHESTER AMERICANS
Rochester is a bad team and are currently last in the North Division. The Marlies won easily last time they went to Rochester 6-1. However the team must remember that the night before that victory the teams went at it in Toronto and Rochester won. I'm sure that the boys know that and are also aware that the Crunch are right behind.
Every game is huge at this point in the year so they need the win here.
LAKE ERIE MONSTERS
Saturday the Marlies will be back home and hosting Lake Erie. This is also a team that is lower in the standings than the Marlies and a team we need to beat. The Monsters, like Rochester, have shared some success against the Marlies this year so once again the Marlies need to be on there game.
MANITOBA MOOSE
Sunday is another home date this time with Manitoba. A huge game here as this could be the Marlies first round opponent in the playoffs. The Marlies have had pretty good success against the Moose who are about 20 points aheas of the Marlies in the standings and the current division leaders. This should be another good game and another critical 2 points at stake.
The Marlies need at least 4 points this weekend and hopefully some Hamilton and especially Syracuse losses.
